StrataCom has released some new functionality that allows users to easily perform ‘scan-to-update’ mass updates on assets. An example would be if a user had 25 laptops that they were moving to a different location. The user starts by filling out a template with the new location, the new owned by team, the new accounting code, etc. Then the user just starts scanning barcodes to look up the assets by the barcode value. Each asset that is scanned is instantly updated with the new information the technician just entered in the form. Instead of having to update each Asset’s record manually, they are updated instantly as soon as they are scanned in, resulting in a mistake-free, fast update of those records, ensuring that the companies Asset Management policies are being strictly enforced.
Not only is this a huge time-saver for the technician, but also ensures that the organization knows exactly which assets are tied to which location or team, accurately and quickly. Learn More!
